Questions
Short answers to what people ask most. The methodology has the full rules.
Where do the numbers come from?
From public sources: block explorers and node statistics for networks, each operator’s public API or statistics page for pools. Each project and pool page lists its sources and when they were last read. Values without a verifiable feed are checked by hand and carry their check date.
How current are they?
Automatic sources are read about every 15 minutes. If a source fails, the last valid reading stays on the page marked as delayed. Manually checked terms, such as fees, change only when an editor checks them again.
Why do the pool shares not add up to 100%?
Because the list is partial and every share is an estimate. Some pools are not listed or do not publish their hashrate, so the sum can be lower. Pools and networks measure over different windows, so the sum can also be higher. We never rescale the shares or assign the remainder to anyone.
What does a dash mean?
That the value is not published or could not be verified. It is not a zero. A fee that depends on conditions or a contract is described in words instead.
Why are some Dogecoin figures marked as shared work?
Dogecoin is mostly merge-mined with Litecoin. Some pools report only the combined Scrypt work, so those estimates are labelled as shared-work and kept separate from figures reported for Dogecoin alone. Do not add them to Litecoin figures.
Why does Tari have no single total?
Tari is mined with several algorithms at once, and hashrates of different algorithms cannot be added. Each one is shown on its own.
Can I use the connection addresses shown?
They are examples from each pool’s documentation. Always check the address against the pool’s own site before pointing hardware at it.
Do I need an account to follow projects?
No. Followed projects are saved in your browser. Daily Radar emails are optional, need you to confirm your address, and can be stopped from any email.
What is a callout?
A link to a public X post that documented a project. Anyone can submit one. Editors verify the post and its time; credit goes to the post’s author, not to whoever sent the link. Authors can ask for privacy.
Are featured rows ads?
They are paid placements, always labelled. Paying buys position only, never a better figure, description or ranking.
Is this investment advice?
No. Hashly is information about mining, not advice to mine, buy or hold anything.
Something is wrong. Who do I tell?
